The new group, which is based in Chicago, will be headed by Susan Medina and Peter Gomez. Each of these professionals were formerly with a leading executive search firm. Their appointments are effective immediately.

Prior to joining Battalia Winston, Susan was Executive Vice President at a leading executive search firm based in Chicago. She was also the Global Diversity Practice Group Leader and a member of the Board & CEO Practice. Prior to executive search, Susan co-founded LatinoExecs, Inc., an organization focused on connecting clients with Latino executives within the Fortune 1000. Before LatinoExecs, Inc., Susan co-led the Life Sciences and Consumer Practice Groups at a Chicago-based executive search firm. Earlier in her career, she served in various HR/Talent Acquisition roles with a F500 organization focused on technology.
Peter M. Gomez was previously Executive Vice President at a leading executive search firm; he was also the N.A. Diversity Practice Group Leader. His work spans across all industries and functional groups and is focused on creating inclusive recruiting and retention solutions for clients. Peter’s unique approach to search stems from his strong roots in the industry. His background has established him as a trusted leader and partner to his client. Peter co-founded LatinoExecs, Inc. in 2009. In addition to LatinoExecs, Peter has co-authored the following two thought leadership pieces: “Latinos in America” and “Retention Strategies At The Top”.
